This page explains how yonderwall handles live posts and the limited information needed to operate the service. The central rule is simple: public while alive, gone when expired.

Live posts

A post's text, public author label, creation time, and expiration time are visible to anyone using the wall while that post is alive. yonderwall keeps post text only in temporary memory for the time you select. When the post expires, it is deleted. There is no wall archive, expired-post history, permanent search index, or backup that can restore it.

A post can disappear sooner because of moderation, maintenance, a restart, or a service failure. Expiration cannot erase a copy made by someone else while the post was public. Other people may copy, record, or share what they see, so never put private or sensitive information in a post.

Accounts and service records

If you create an account or use Sponsor Studio or the Developer API, yonderwall keeps the account information needed to provide those features. Depending on what you use, this may include your handle, preferences, protected sign-in and contact information, account permissions, billing status, and security records. These records never include wall post text and may remain after a post expires.

Operations and abuse prevention

yonderwall processes limited connection and request information to deliver the service, keep you signed in, prevent abuse, and keep the wall available. Raw IP addresses and post text are not written to permanent databases or logs. Logs contain only basic diagnostic details, such as the page requested, whether the request succeeded, how long it took, and a request reference number.

The service uses an essential session cookie. A theme preference may be stored locally in your browser. yonderwall does not use third-party analytics to create a history of what people post or read.

United States access

yonderwall is offered and authorized only for use while you are physically located in the United States of America. Network, hosting, security, email, or payment providers may process the limited information necessary to deliver and protect the features you choose to use.

Legal requests

yonderwall may respond to valid legal requests and disclose information it lawfully has when required. A legal request does not create a wall archive or change the normal expiration of post text. Because expired post text is not retained, yonderwall cannot retrieve or produce a post after its expiration time.
